Character Info:
Name: Yuri (Yurippe) Nakamura
Age: Possibly 15-16
Canon: Angel Beats!
Pull Point: Episode Twelve, before she awakens from passing out while fighting the shadows, but after her dream of being a normal student.
Background Info:
History: Background
Personality:
Yurippe is not the type of person to stand around when something has to be done, rather she is the type of person to take action. She isn't going to allow herself to be used; especially not allow herself to just disappear. If something needs to be done, Yuri is one to get it done. She does what is asked of her, and sometimes even more. Really, it's a rare sight to see her be messing around if something is going on. She is definitely one to take part. It may not completely involve her, but it's in her nature to be helpful. Especially if she knows the person. Even if she isn't actually involved, chances are that she's paying attention from the sidelines in the case that she has to jump in.
That said, Yuri is what you could call a natural-born leader. She may not realize or even agree wholeheartedly with it herself, but she's a great leader. During the time that she lead the Battlefront, no one rebelled or disagreed with her leadership. Instead they all loved her and followed her. Still, she's very open to her teams decisions; usually. Always hearing them out on a plan, and letting them get their input in. What makes her a great leader is that she isn't utterly commanding, nor does she act superior. She's the type of leader that thinks of her team over everything; including herself.
As a leader; Yuri is amazing with plans and tactics. Even if they sound a bit absurd, the plans are carefully thought out. She takes time to think before taking action; unless there isn't the time to think. Even telling her teammates to 'be good students' in class while she took the time to find out how to deal with the Angel problem. Of course, she doesn't take forever to think of a plan either. Also, if a plan sounds to risky; than chances are she's going to take a solo trip. As stated before, her teammates go above herself. Of course, she isn't always one to play fair either. Often using distractions in order to get her plans done; unless it's to risky to do so.
Yuri tries to stay unfazed whenever something bad happens, having to be the one to stay in control and help the others. This doesn't mean it doesn't affect her. She'll let it show if there are limited people around, such as one. She always has to have some trust in the person. She hates seeing her friends get hurt, even if it can't be helped. Having lost her siblings because of what of 'herself', Yuri hates losing people. This also leads her to completely believe that God is not fair, but we'll get into that later. You can say that she almost 'fears' it. Having this happened to her when she was little though; helps her remain calm in dangerous situations.
God and Yuri do not get along, in fact she hates him. The horrible loss and life that she faced when she was alive is something that lead to her to believe that God is cruel too cruel. She wants to meet him.., just to ask him why he would do such a thing. This is something of a sensitive topic of hers, but she'll still speak it aloud if the situation is right. The way is died is something that she refuses to state nonetheless. Just that she didn't commit suicide, because she's a fighter.
Don't get the wrong idea of Yuri always being the sensible, serious person. She isn't. If everything is going to plan while she's watching, Yuri is very teasing. She's always very competitive, as she always wanted to beat Tenshi. Even in things such as baseball. It was also once commented that her laugh sounds like a villain when she's gloating. This is somewhat of the playful side of her. She's also blasted off teammates into the ceilings knowing that they cannot die in case they don't distract correctly. This can also be a bit more of a kiddish side.
She also has her girly moments, such as when she's not leading the others. She's actually a very loving person, being the one to bring love into the purgatory world they ended up in. Also not being prepared to leave and blushing because of it. During this, she didn't take very well to being teased. She was also happy for the moment when she picked number one during a random draw, before stomping on it for not being a useful number. She also messes around when there isn't much to be done, as deciding a new name for the Battlefront. After realizing that she could have become friends with Kanade, she listens a few girly-like things that they could have done, somewhat implying that she would enjoy doing these things. This including shopping as one. Her uniform is also a bit more girly than the others; having both a green ribbon in her hair and the occasion hat. (She also sometimes wears glasses when working.)
Yuri also almost has something of a temper, not being truly afraid others when they are being too stupid. For the most part, she's able to contain this temper. Such as resisting in bashing up the computer when it wasn't being very cooperative, instead just rewriting the program. Now she's pretty patient nonetheless.
Lastly, Yuri is 'trained' in fighting. She's very good at it, whether it be shooting a gun or hand-to-hand combat. She's a amazing shoot, almost always hitting her target. She's also experienced with multiple types of guns. When it comes to hand-to-hand combat, she's good with using a knife to fight. Having multiple solo close knife fights with Tenshi. She knows her weapons very well, having to be the leader of the Battlefront after all. Yuri is also what you can say acrobatic and is very fit. Jumping down from roofs without much trouble, but not with inhuman strength. She's also flexible and pain tolerable. Not to mention, observational with others. Always knowing what is going on, even if it's being 'hid' from her.
Game Specific:
Arcana: Judgement
Justification: Yuri's arcana would Judgement due to the fact that her life has ended, proving it to be the end of ones journey. Nonetheless, she is sent to a afterlife world in order to find both awakening and satisfaction with her life. Yuri has felt both guilt and separation for letting her siblings die. Also, lack of progress of the Battlefront due to not realizing the true nature of 'Angel. In the canon point that she's from, this has been accomplished. Still giving her guilt that she and Angel couldn't be friends. At this point, she has both realized the important of something being her life. That, she cannot simply start over.

First Person Sample: [There's a voice, but it's a small distance away from the communicator. It's still audible if you listen closely.]
Alright, here it is. The information is all set, let's get this thing up.
[Sounds of movement, before a 'hrm of slight surprise.]
It's already on..
[A beat]
Let's get started. Everyone, I'm Naramura Yuri, or Yurippe as some back home would call me. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to stand around and wait for something to be done. To be controlled by whatever brought us to this world. For some, your powers from back home have been stripped. This is unacceptable.
[Another beat]
A battlefront. A formed group to fight back whatever brought us here, to fight back against what they're trying to make us accomplish. If you're interested, or want to know more; contact me privately. [The feed clicks off]
Third Person Sample: The purple-haired girl blinked for a moment, as she stared up at the sky above her. Something was wrong, this was not where she last was. Sitting up, she took a slow glance around. The area was both unfamiliar and discomforting. Was this.. because the shadows has gotten to her. No, that didn't fit in. If it was that, than she would have turned into a NPC. Obviously something else had gotten into the way... That dream, she had grabbed Otonashi-kun's hand - hadn't she. As if with sudden realization, Yuri stumbled up.
No.., he wasn't here. No one was around, she was alone. After all that, she was alone again. Feelings of both lonesome, loss and despair mingled for a second before getting overtaken with confident and the feeling to fight. No matter where she had been brought to again, this was her life. All she could do was figure out what happened and what to do next. This wasn't obliteration, or she wouldn't have her memories. Had God brought her to a new place, had she not succeeded in the last. For the moment, those were just assumptions. All that she could tell for certain was that she was in a new area, and she still had her memories.
Back to her calm standpoint, Yuri took another glance around. Than she remembered, just as she had grabbed Otonashi-kun's hand; there was a whisper. Persona? It was a clue at the very least, of where she had been transported too. She'd keep it in mind, to record to find out more about later. The best option at the moment was to explore, find information out that way. What were the chances that she was the only one there. Leaving from her placement, something caught her eye. From her standpoint, it looked almost like a phone. Interesting.., for the moment she would keep it.
"Now than, what can you tell me about the place.." Right now, the phone that she had grabbed was her only source of information. Scanning through it, few things caught her eye. Than, she stopped both scanning and walking. She could make her own message. A slight smirk appeared across her mouth, that was prefect.
